Referral Network

Through a series of breakfasts and informal meetings, our law firm is assembling a network of New York City attorneys who will cross refer matters to one another and share fees to the extent allowed by New York State law. Our firm is interested in obtaining referrals of personal injury and medical malpractice cases for which we are permitted under New York State law to share the attorney’s fee. We also seek to refer matters to participating attorneys, but we do not seek to receive referral fees in return. Ultimately, we intend to facilitate referrals of matters among our cross-referral network.

We believe that strategic alliances between attorneys can provide an opportunity to service existing clients more effectively while offering new possibilities to expand the reach of a law practice without expending large sums of money on developing a new practice area.

The law firm of Wingate Russotti & Shapiro is one of the leading plaintiff personal injury law firms in New York. We have secured hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements and jury verdicts on behalf of thousands of clients. Over the past several years, we have paid over $5 million in attorney referral fees in connection with personal injury and medical malpractice cases referred to our office.

There are many ways that we can benefit each other. To that end, we will produce a series of events that bring together attorneys to discuss their practices, meet colleagues and promote a referral network in an informal setting.

Accordingly, I would like to ask your opinion of the best way for us to organize these events in a way that you believe would be most beneficial to your practice and that you would enjoy attending.
